The
Wynne
Home
The Wynne Home is
Huntsville's new center
for the fine arts, the gift
of Samuella Wynne
Palmer.
I have been teaching a
plein aire painting class
there when weather
allowed. This painting
was the third of three of
these efforts. It has been
purchased for a gift to
Mrs. Palmer.
Memorial Day Also a Wynne home painting
this features the work of the city's excellent gardeners.
The Fourth Turn Here is an insight into my working process. I e-mailed the client the thumbnail sketches on the
upper left. He chose the one on the right, my favorite as well. This was my first painting delivered in 2007.
The Chef's Choice Painted for the opening
of a new Houston restaurant operated by Chef
Polo Becerra. He is depicted picking his produce in
his native Puerto Vallarta
Painted for the mother of a
college friend as a birthday/Christmas/house
centenary gift for his brother, this picture
(shown during the painting process) reminds
me that I've sold every snow scene I've ever
painted. We in Texas, of course, never have
reason to tire of snow. That's not necessarily
true in Oregon, where this home sits amid
well-chilled splendor.
Looks like a wonderful place to visit.
With the working title "Like One of the
Family", this work is another for Polo's
Signature Restaurant in Houston and shows
well known chef Polo Becerra in a typically
animated conversation with one of his customers.
Shoot! I just realized I've forgotten to sign the thing...
